Difficult to categorize within a single electronic music genre, Entropia moves masterfully from peak-time house to breakbeat, exploring territories like garage, dub techno, and electro and beyond—always maintaining a unique flow, free from BPM limitations. Deeply inspired by Brazilian music, Entropia incorporates elements of his Northeastern roots into electronic compositions, creating an innovative and unmistakably local sound with global reach.
Currently, Entropia is a resident artist at Mamba Negra, one of Brazil’s most influential electronic collectives, internationally celebrated for redefining the country's music scene. He is also a member of Teto Preto, one of the boldest and most acclaimed electronic bands in Brazil and abroad. Alongside Laura Diaz, he led the production of the album "Fala", praised by Music Nonstop as the "Best Brazilian Electronic Album of 2024" and recognized as one of the year’s 50 best albums by APCA (São Paulo Association of Art Critics).
He has performed on renowned stages such as CAOS, DEDGE, Capslock, Masterplano, 1010, Coquetel Molotov, Subtropikal, Resonar, and has just returned from his European tour, which featured a standout performance at Hör in Berlin.
A firm believer in DIY culture, Entropia has built Eurorack modules, synthesizers, and experimental sound devices to achieve his creative goals. He began sharing this knowledge online and now also contributes to immersive installations and cutting-edge hardware and audio software projects.
Entropia's collaborations reflect his versatility, having worked with celebrated Brazilian artists such as L_cio, André Abujamra, Vitor Araújo, Alexandra Leão, Paulo Santos (Uakti), and Junio Barreto. Notably, he co-produced four tracks on Junio Barreto's "O Sol e o Sal do Suor," another APCA top-50 album of 2024.
Critics such as Gilles Peterson (BBC 6, London), Claudia Assef, Gabriel Rolim, Chico Dub, among others, have praised his productions. Whether composing for the dance floor or crafting bold soundscapes, his talent transcends traditional boundaries, delivering music that resonates with both the underground and the mainstream.
